My interest is in plant growth regulators in agriculture, as they act at very low concentrations and influence plant growth, development, and stress responses. They promote root initiation, improve fruit set, delay fruit drop, stimulate stem elongation, break dormancy, improve fruit size (e.g., grapes), delay leaf senescence, enhance cell division and growth, and improve post-harvest shelf life. They contribute to increased yield through better fruit set and reduced flower and fruit drop, improved quality in terms of size, color, and uniformity, enhanced shelf life by delaying senescence, and better stress adaptation to drought, salinity, and temperature conditions. I am also interested in mineral nutrients, which form the foundation of plant metabolism, structural development, and reproductive success, where balanced nutrition is essential for maximizing crop productivity and quality.
