At University of Agricultural Sciences, Mandya (UAS Mandya), we embrace the power of knowledge, regional empowerment, and sustainable farming. Rooted in the rich agricultural legacy of the Old Mysuru region, our university aims to be the catalyst for a new era of innovation and growth in agri-education.

Founded as the historic College of Agriculture at V.C. Farm in 1991, UAS Mandya has been nurturing agricultural talent for over three decades—offering B.Sc. (Agri.), diploma, and extension-focused programs to uplift our rural youth.

In early 2025, the Karnataka State Cabinet formally approved the establishment of the new agricultural university at the V.C. Farm campus—marking a long-awaited step toward regional agricultural advancement. Envisioned on the model of Shivamogga University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, UAS Mandya will unite the College of Agriculture (Mandya), College of Agriculture (Hassan), College of Agriculture (Chamarajanagar), College of Forestry (Ponnampet), and the College of Horticultural Sciences (Mysuru) under its banner. Its jurisdiction will cover the districts of Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, and Kodagu

Research Interests & Expertise

My specialization is in Horticulture, with a focus on plantation crops, spices, medicinal plants, and aromatic plants. I work on production technology related to these crop systems, emphasizing improved cultivation practices, efficient resource management, and enhanced productivity. My interest includes developing sustainable and scientifically sound methods for the cultivation of plantation crops as well as spice, medicinal, and aromatic plant species. I also focus on optimizing agronomic practices to improve yield, quality, and economic value of these crops, while promoting environmentally sustainable production systems.
