My research interests include mycology and bacteriology, with emphasis on studies of plant diseases covering symptomatology, epidemiology, etiology, and management of fungal and bacterial diseases of crop plants. I work on the diagnosis, detection, and molecular and morphological identification of plant pathogens, including soil-borne diseases and their management strategies. I am also involved in plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and biological control of plant diseases through isolation, testing efficiency, and characterization of bioagents such as Trichoderma, Pseudomonas, Bacillus spp., and other beneficial microorganisms. My work includes mass multiplication and quality control aspects of biocontrol agents to ensure their effectiveness in field applications. In addition, I have interest in plant quarantine regulations, including import and export procedures, to support plant health security and safe agricultural trade.
