My research focuses on rainfall–runoff modelling and watershed hydrology analysis, including the development and application of conceptual and physically based hydrological models. I work on surface runoff estimation, infiltration processes, and hydrograph analysis, along with flood forecasting, peak flow estimation, and extreme event modelling. My studies also examine the impact of land-use change and climate variability on basin hydrological behaviour. I am involved in groundwater recharge estimation and conjunctive water resource management, integrating remote sensing and GIS techniques in hydrological simulations. My areas of expertise include watershed delineation and morphometric analysis, and calibration and validation of hydrological models using observed hydrometeorological data. I work on unit hydrograph development, flow routing, and streamflow prediction, and apply empirical methods such as the Rational method, SCS-based approaches, and statistical hydrology techniques. I also utilize modelling outputs for water resources planning, irrigation scheduling, and flood management. I handle spatial and temporal datasets, uncertainty analysis, and model performance evaluation, and contribute to the preparation of technical reports, research publications, and decision-support recommendations.
