My expertise lies in Agricultural Entomology with specialization in Acarology, insecticide toxicology, host plant resistance, and integrated pest management (IPM). My research focuses on developing sustainable pest management strategies through eco-friendly and economically viable approaches for major agricultural crops. I have experience in teaching, research, extension, and developmental activities with significant involvement in UG, PG, and diploma-level education, including course handling and academic mentoring. I have guided M.Sc. (Agri.) students as chairman and served as a member of postgraduate advisory committees. My research contributions include publication of research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals, book chapters, and popular articles, along with authorship of a book on insecticide toxicology. I have also been actively involved in externally funded research projects as Co-PI and contributed to the development of crop protection technologies and package of practices for insect pest management in paddy. My extension activities include organization and participation in training programs, delivery of guest lectures, and farmer-oriented capacity-building initiatives. I also contribute to academic processes as an external examiner, question paper setter, and reviewer for reputed journals. My work emphasizes bridging research and field application for effective pest management solutions.
