At University of Agricultural Sciences, Mandya (UAS Mandya), we embrace the power of knowledge, regional empowerment, and sustainable farming. Rooted in the rich agricultural legacy of the Old Mysuru region, our university aims to be the catalyst for a new era of innovation and growth in agri-education.

Founded as the historic College of Agriculture at V.C. Farm in 1991, UAS Mandya has been nurturing agricultural talent for over three decades—offering B.Sc. (Agri.), diploma, and extension-focused programs to uplift our rural youth.

In early 2025, the Karnataka State Cabinet formally approved the establishment of the new agricultural university at the V.C. Farm campus—marking a long-awaited step toward regional agricultural advancement. Envisioned on the model of Shivamogga University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, UAS Mandya will unite the College of Agriculture (Mandya), College of Agriculture (Hassan), College of Agriculture (Chamarajanagar), College of Forestry (Ponnampet), and the College of Horticultural Sciences (Mysuru) under its banner. Its jurisdiction will cover the districts of Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, and Kodagu

Research Interests & Expertise

My specialization includes Educational Technology, Human Resource Development, Information and Communication Technology, transfer of technology, and impact assessment of agricultural and rural development programmes. I have guided 15 doctoral and postgraduate students in Agricultural Extension and Agribusiness Management disciplines. I have served as Principal Investigator for an Indo-German collaborative extension project (Phase I and II) with a budget outlay of Rs. 1.10 crore. I have evaluated over 20 centrally sponsored forestry projects of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. I am presently serving as a Research Advisory Committee Member for the Central Sericulture Research Institute, Mysuru. I have published over 400 research papers, 12 books, 6 technical bulletins, and numerous popular articles. I have also visited Nepal, Sri Lanka, and several European countries for presenting research papers at international conferences and seminars.
