My research interests and expertise lie in Agronomy with emphasis on organic farming, precision agriculture, cropping systems, weed management, irrigation scheduling, and natural resource management for sustainable crop production. My work focuses on developing location-specific and resource-efficient agronomic practices to enhance productivity, profitability, and ecological sustainability of field crops. I have contributed to the refinement of integrated crop management practices and sustainable farming systems through long-term field experimentation and on-farm validation. My research also includes evaluation of agronomic interventions for improving soil health, water-use efficiency, and nutrient-use efficiency under different agro-climatic conditions. I have been actively involved in developing and refining production technologies suitable for diverse farming situations, supporting farmer-oriented innovations and extension of improved agronomic practices. My scholarly contributions include over 80 peer-reviewed research publications in reputed journals, along with book chapters, books, and popular articles, and presentations in national and international scientific forums. My work is aimed at bridging the gap between research and field application by promoting sustainable, climate-resilient, and economically viable agronomic solutions for farmers.
