My research interests focus on plant disease diagnosis, integrated disease management, and the development of sustainable approaches for crop protection. My work emphasizes understanding plant–pathogen interactions and developing effective strategies for managing important crop diseases caused by soil-borne and foliar pathogens. A key area of my expertise is the characterization and utilization of native biological control agents, particularly Trichoderma species, for the management of soil-borne plant pathogens. In recent years, my research has expanded to the innovative application of nanotechnology in plant disease management. I am involved in developing nano-based pesticides, including nano-chitosan–fungicide conjugates, to enhance the efficacy, stability, and targeted delivery of disease management agents while minimizing environmental impact. My work also focuses on promoting eco-friendly and biorational disease management strategies that integrate biological control, improved disease diagnostics, and advanced technologies. Through my research, I aim to bridge fundamental plant pathology with practical field applications that contribute to improved crop health and productivity. I am actively involved in mentoring postgraduate students and participating in farmer-oriented outreach programs, promoting sustainable and scientifically sound plant disease management practices in agricultural and horticultural crops.
