My research interests and expertise are focused on Forestry and Agroforestry systems with emphasis on Climate Change mitigation and adaptation strategies. Key areas include carbon sequestration in both soil and trees, soil carbon modelling, biodiversity assessment, and carbon credit generation through forestry interventions, including urban plantations and agroforestry systems. My work also involves monitoring and evaluation of Annual Plan of Operations (APOs) in forestry activities, along with scientific assessment of research schemes and project implementation to ensure effective outcomes. I have experience in climate-resilient forestry planning and implementation, particularly under initiatives such as the Karnataka National Adaptation Fund for Climate Change (NAFCC) project. My overall focus is on integrating ecological, carbon accounting, and management approaches to enhance ecosystem services, improve forest sustainability, and support climate change mitigation and adaptation goals through evidence-based forestry practices.
