My specialization is in tropical and subtropical fruits, with experience in evaluating Ber cv. Jogia-Mundia under the CADA irrigated Upper Krishna project area, along with crops such as local jack types, tamarind, exotic macadamia, bael, and strawberry. My research includes studying the role of integrated and organic nutrition on the quality of papaya, banana, and pomegranate, as well as expertise in pruning densities in pomegranate and rambutan. I also have experience in propagation of crops like karonda, passion fruit, and ber, and have worked on correlation and path analysis in bael, macadamia, jack, and tamarind for yield and quality improvement. I documented the root-knot nematode of pomegranate in Karnataka for the first time and conducted studies on chilli Murda Complex, yellow leaf disease of arecanut, bacterial blight of pomegranate, and Sigatoka of banana. Additionally, my work includes post-harvest and processing studies such as preparation of jam, jelly, fruit powders (amla, jack, and jack seed), development of jack seed powder biscuits, jamun mix, vegetable jack canning, and evaluation of packaging containers for fruits and processed products.
